Tobler's Flowers is always happy to put beautiful flowers in the hands of our customers, and to help them do the same with the important people in their lives. And in the case of Mother's Day, that person is definitely important. The recipient of flowers this May 13th is as deserving as it gets, and flowers are a fitting tribute. They feel rare and exceptional, but in fact are all around us. Their delicacy and beauty is actually the source of their life-giving strength, and it's not lost on us that the same can be said of mothers. Read More about The Loveliest Of Flowers For Your Mom
Our Kansas City community is about to be steeped in proud, happy graduates, and Tobler's Flowers knows exactly how to celebrate them. Along with the proms, parties and ceremonies, it's customary to fete our young scholars with flowers. We want to commemorate the end of their high school journey and send our best wishes for a bright future ahead. These flowers may be some of the first our grad recipient has ever received, and there's no doubt they will be some of the most memorable. Read More about The Best Graduation Flowers
Tobler's Flowers loves May for lots of reasons, but mostly because it's a month dedicated to celebrating the most important women in our lives. And we're not just talking about Mothers' Day; May 6 through May 12 both Nurse Appreciation and Teacher Appreciation Week. It's an opportunity to make our gratitude known to the wonder women who educate, heal, nurture and otherwise empower the rest of us. We're big fans of sending or giving flowers during times like these. They are powerful expressions of our feelings and beautiful to boot. They can be kept at work or brought home to enjoy, the kind of flexibility that makes flower gifts so appealing. Read More about Treat Your Super Ladies To Flowers
You may not be able to cultivate your own garden for Earth Day, but we've got the next best thing here at Tobler's Flowers.
April 22 is a global celebration of the Earth, focusing our attention on how to care for and preserve it, how to improve the quality of life on it, and, of course, how best to honor it. It's a time to take stock of our abundant natural resources and riches, and in the latter's case, we're turning our attention to our planet's beautiful flowers and plants. After a long winter, it's time to take stock of our work surfaces. We here at Tobler's Flowers think it's time to ask, "Is my desk being all it can be?" If the answer is no, we're here to bring you a little desktop awareness.
If the work surfaces (including, but not limited to, conference tables, cubicles, reception areas, waiting tables and individual desks) in your business or company are looking dismal, cluttered or just totally bereft, it's time for an inter-office overhaul. It's time to refresh them with flowers and plants. Read More about Acquaint Yourself With Desktop Awareness
So many of us have big plans to reinvent our homes come spring, or at the very least, to give them a deep cleanse. Tobler's Flowers knows how it goes, as we too have the desire to see our personal spaces purified and refreshed. As you embark on clearing out those closets and replacing the outdated decor items, don't forget to add back in flowers and plants. These function as visual "palette cleansers," giving the eye something new and vital to look at while also bringing in nature (and helping to oxygenate the home, we might add), Read More about Refresh And Purify Your Space For Spring
How do you bring a garden into your home during a season that emphasizes the garden so much? Easy, you put it into a basket. You take as much living green as you can, and you put it in something that has long been associated with comfort and plenty, since ancient times in fact, when farmers would bring their spring seedlings to be blessed at the church in baskets. Here at Tobler's Flowers, we love designing right into a basket. It adds texture and a rustic feeling to even the most elegant grouping of flowers. We here at Tobler's Flowers can't decide which flower fragrance we like better, but what we do know is that spring is the time for scented blooms. Whether it's stock, hyacinth, rose, lily or any one of the other fragrance-forward buds, letting that aroma envelop the house or work space is one of best ways to celebrate the new season and to wake up the senses. If there's one thing we love about spring, it's the bevy of glorious, traditional flowers that have come to be associated with it. And even if our gardens aren't exactly bursting with them come March 21, we've got them cut and beautiful in the shop, ready to be worked into seasonal designs that will bring that spirit into your home or work space, too. Our Tobler's designers love to work with a tulip especially, and we can prove it. Read More about Traditional Tulips Are Beautiful For Spring
On March 8, we celebrate International Women's Day, and we here at Tobler's Flowers couldn't be more excited. This is a time when we honor the vibrant, visionary women in our lives and renew our efforts to make life better for all women. This year's theme is #PressForProgress, and the focus is on gender parity. While we here in the U.S. don't have a floral gift-giving tradition per se for IWD, many of the over 100 countries who also celebrate IWD do. We should take a cue from them.
